Nestled in the heart of Swan Valley, The Little Moose Lodge sits at the base of picturesque Mount Baldy and beside the legendary South Fork of the Snake River.
Known for some of the best trout fishing in the country, the South Fork has drawn anglers for decades looking to wet a fly and reel in a lunker. In addition to the river the lodge sits at the border of the Targhee National Forest.
With hundreds of miles of backcountry trails for hikers, hunters, and just about any outdoor recreation you could dream of. Just a few miles up the road you’ll find the Palisades Dam; an earth filled dam that was finished in 1957.
The dam is an important part of Swan Valley past and present, as its construction brought many families to the area and forever changed the flow of the South Fork.
It continues play an important role in providing water for the many local farms and generating power that benefits the community.
The Little Moose Lodge property has a rich history of its own, having been a popular meeting place for many years as the Swan Valley Supper Club.
Almost every local has a story to tell about the Supper Club and we hope to carry on the tradition as the Little Moose Lodge.
